H Singh under investigation
from ABC Online today
<<Team-mate Harbhajan Singh, in a long-running verbal battle with the Australian team, in particular Andrew Symonds and Matthew Hayden, is reportedly under investigation for making monkey gestures at the crowd.>>
there is a photo in the Age of Singh doing the monkey and reports of him spitting at the crowd...
the indian team management automatically went into denial...it seems Indian team management support Singh's offences

Re: H Singh under investigation
meh, the Australians conspired to put bird lice in his bed in order to make his underarms itchy. The hotel staff were also told to turn the air-con down to give him a cold.
He can hardly be blamed for scratching and gobbing on the field in that case.

Re: H Singh under investigation
and from the melbourne age
<<HARBHAJAN Singh could find himself in trouble with the International Cricket Council after he reportedly made monkey gestures towards the Sydney Cricket Ground crowd during India's victory in the first tri-series final yesterday.
The controversial Indian spinner apparently motioned as if to scratch his armpits with both arms in the same manner fans did to taunt Andrew Symonds in India last year. Those Indian spectators were ejected from the grounds.
Harbhajan repeated the gesture with one arm later and was snapped by The Age.
One spectator sitting in the Bill O'Reilly stand, Craig Woodbury, said Harbhajan also spat towards the crowd after they called him "a wanker".
"He definitely made the monkey gestures and he spit towards us," Woodbury said. "It was a bit disgraceful really, especially after what happened here in the Test match (with Symonds).
"There are a lot of young people sitting here and it was inappropriate. He is a role model to a lot of people, if he wants respect he has to treat others with respect.
"He is always going to cop it from the crowd but he is a professional sportsman and he has got to expect that."
Under the ICC's code of conduct, if Harbhajan is accused of making a racist gesture he would be charged under section 3.3 — the same offence he was cited for during January's Sydney Test when accused of calling Symonds "a big monkey". In that instance Harbhajan was found guilty and suspended for three Tests, only to have the decision overturned on appeal after India threatened to cancel the tour.>>

Re: H Singh under investigation
Indian team management reacted angrily today to a claim that controversial spinner Harbhajan Singh made monkey gestures towards the SCG crowd last night.
And former Australian cricket captain, Allan Border, has also supported the Indian spinner.
The Herald quoted a spectator saying that Harbhajan had motioned to scratch his armpits and also spat towards the crowd after being abused by spectators.
Border said it was a shame that a great century by Sachin Tendulkar in his farewell tour of Australia was being overshadowed by "a few bits of silliness in the outfield".
He praised Harbhajan for his behaviour when he was baited by sections of the SCG crowd.
"I was over that side of the ground and Harbhajan was copping a fair bit of stick from the crowd," Border said.
"I didn't notice any gestures at all and I thought he handled himself pretty well.
"It's not a big deal."
the aussie media in making witch-hunt of opposing team players shocker. gutter press seems a compliment
