Horrie has a problem with the sun rising in the west.

wozzie
short
opening batsman
left hander
went to a good school (nearly in the case of Fleas)
nlwl and fleas could be the same person ...so horrie's irrational hatred for Langer is easily transferred to Katich

Fleas failed as a test player when it counted. When he made runs he batted at Tavare pace, causing problems in forcing the result. The assault on Clarke should have seen him sacked. He was dubber skip during the period of division documented by Cowan.

Bit of a mixed bag though, Horatio, and from different times. Not sure it would stand up in a court of law.
He was able to push the runs along when he chose to. He wasn't exactly "set in his ways", like some. I have an impression he was scoring pretty freely (not like Haydos or Slats, say, but then they were unusual) by the time he was dumped.
He might have been useful, say, here: http://www.espncricinfo.com/the-ashes-2010-11/engine/match/428752.html
The attack on Clarke ... well, stupid team ditties, Clarkey rushing off to get back to La Bingle and getting arsey ... not all one-sided. Katich certainly brought out all the worst aspects of Clarke's captaincy - and stranglehold or not, that's not necessarily because of Katich's hot blood or obduracy alone.
I think it's time to bury the hatchet and admit, at the end of the day, you were a wee bit hairsh on the valiant old Serbo-Chokarian, Mr H.

Geebers. The Serbo chokarian line was one I had forgotten about. Well remembered. Yep - despite the inviting thought of burying a sharpened hatchet, I agree.

How could you possibly 'forget' the 'Serbo-Chokarian' phrase after running that line 1567476387 times?

Maybe H is so stubborn, he swims against the current of "believing your own propaganda"?
