Their Chief Exec (David Smith - ex-Bears) is a piece of work too. Quite prepared to take credit for James Taylor, their 18 year-old batsman - quite conveniently forgetting that he was a product of our academy!

What a Farking joke.
Cummins had been bowling well this year for them as well. English qualified, 22, and with some talent.
Dumped for some poxy Saffa Koplak arse!!

Clearly the financial inducements to play England-qualified players are not working.
The answer should be more principled leadership by the counties, but as we live in the real world - the ECB are going to have to lean on them a little bit more heavily. How about a point deduction for every non England-qualified player?

Anyone have the email address for the ECB? Perhaps we can all contact them and ask their observations on a county playing just four English players - two of which are wicket-keepers!
I mean, Leicester have always been a joke, but this is ridiculous.

All sorts of email addresses if you want to contact the England Supporters Association etc, but nothing for example that will get you through to (for example) David Collier. You could try help@ecb.co.uk but don't hold your breath waiting for a reply.

Perhaps a better bet would be to contact Aggers? As a former Leics player who is now one of England's top cricket journalists/commentators, he should be in a position to influence what goes on at Leics.

That's only one or two more Saffies than every other county has though.
Better any random South African than Chris Lewis I say.

Maybe they should create a 19th 'County' made up of Saffie Kolpaks.

James Taylor was with our academy as a youngster, went to Worcs three years ago and is back where he rightfully belongsBasil wrote:JKLever wrote:It includes...

Obviously playing 6 saffies isnt ideal, but neither is losing all your best young players to richer counties

I was Yoda to Carpet Monster's Luke Skywalker. I showed her the force and threatened her with my lightsaber until she quit TMSB and joined the bails.

I didn't even spell "her" name right. Not much of a welcome.

Thank you for your warm welcomes but erm, I'm all male
I'm sure I made a sexually ambigious comment in the past to confuse you all though so don't feel bad
I like TMSB, theres some good lads over there but just a few too many WUMs too.
