Re: Aus v Eng, T20 WC, Cape Town, 14th September
Well don't overstep the line. It's a simple enough task, which international bowlers for some reason don't seem to be able to manage. Bring it in to Tests and ODI's and the no-ball count would drop dramatically overnight.Hass wrote:I've just realised why I don't like Twenty20 cricket.
When I see the stumps get knocked over the off a legitimate delivery the batsman should be out.
Get rid of this 'Free Hit' nonsense.

Struggling here. Run rate isn't great, we could be setting them only 100 if we're not careful.

Time to just think about making sure we post something competitive that they won't knock off quickly enough to put us in trouble in terms of qualifying. These two need to stay there a while and make sure we have a shot at around 140.

Yep, if you don't want a free hit against you, don't overstep the mark. Quite simple really.
Re: Aus v Eng, T20 WC, Cape Town, 14th September
Wouldn't mind so much about the score/situation if Flintoff wasn't shot to ribbons.
Re: Aus v Eng, T20 WC, Cape Town, 14th September
Yeah, I've no sympathy at all for bowlers who constantly bowl no-balls. I firmly believe an aborted run-up should be a no-ball as well. Maybe we'll see free hits for wides as well one day!Batfink Begins wrote:Yep, if you don't want a free hit against you, don't overstep the mark. Quite simple really.

Had them in the 45 over stuff here for a bit. It's a possibility. I mean, humans make mistakes, but the whole muscle memory and measured run-ups thing should get rid of 95% of any no-ball problem. They get paid to be precise.

Nowhere near enough. They're at least 20 adrift at this point.

The camera work has been very shoddy, but I think that was just yet another break in transmission...FFS

Another no-ball. Almost Mohd. Sami-esque.
And the free-hit goes for 6. Do I have Pietersen in one of my teams? Don;t know....

Aus seem to be bowling quite a few no-balls.
