Re: Aus v Eng, T20 WC, Cape Town, 14th September
Ah, just saw that this game is on at a reasonable hour Spiv time. A 10.30 pm start will allow me to boo at the woeful Aussie performance.
I'm with tac. Lose and get home early to plot the downfall of Rahul Dravid's successor.

*sings* Arthur he does as he pleases...
Anyway we are so not going to win, we'll face a massive Aussie backlash after the Zim loss, we all know it deep down.

Serioulsy, though the poms should walk this in . . . Australia haven't played since the WC and that will limit their ability to hit the big shots . . .

Expect a lot of disinterested comments if Aus wins.

England 2.55 to win this.
Must be pretty attractive after their respective efforts against the Zimboks.

Really, the lack of confidence in my regard comes from a stung Aussie side, the fact they're playing us and the fact they simply cannot be stupid enough to leave out Brad Hogg again.
Re: Aus v Eng, T20 WC, Cape Town, 14th September
I'm expecting Aus to win but I just want to see the prospect of county munterers Maddy & Wright try to biatch slap Brett Lee like they do county trundlers....

But Gilly and Haydos haven't got one off the square in their last 3 games, Ponting is fresh from his wife's sickbed and Clarke is injured. Leaves Token and Paris as our only 2 effectives . . .

Phurt @ JKL. Got as good a chance as slapping one of them.

Disagree, Gilly is always hit or miss, same as with MtFTB in this form of the game. Ponting barely ever goes potless. Also, don't knock Podge by leaving him out, he was your best bat the other night IMO and has done nothing wrong in ODIs so far.

Yeah, the little rotund Vomit. Damn immense record with both bat and ball. Possibly the best record in T20 going around.
Re: Aus v Eng, T20 WC, Cape Town, 14th September
Pietersen really is a muppet, isn't he?
Yep, let's equate a 5-0 Ashes whitewash with a game of hit and giggle.
We were humiliated last winter by Australia, but we're in a position of strength where there's a possibility of us pretty much humiliating Australia.

Sort of proves Zimmy's point about what a test of cricketing ability T20 is.

Yeah, no need to soundbite anything like that. Though saying that, having the ignominy in finishing bottom behind Zimbabwe, however little they care about the game, will be 'humiliating' for Aus.

Certainly. His average of 40, S/R 93 in ODIs, 58 in Tests, 48 in FC, 41 in List 'A' really points him out to be sh!thouse.

His test average is well flattered by 220 not out on a track so flat the Saffies batted 100+ overs and only lost 5 wickets . . .

Depends if we bin you out. It wouldn't be about us humiliating you anyway, it would be about you being humiliated by a first round dumping.
