Re: WI v Australia, 2nd Test, North Sound, 30th May-3rd June
So, the team would be -
Gayle
Smith
Sarwan
Morton
Chander
Bravo
Ramdin
Edwards
Taylor
Sammy/Powell
Benn
I wouldn't mind having that pace line-up playing for my team. Always thought Fidel was class. He's slowly giving a few returns now. Personally I'd stick in another opener in there in place of Morton, and play Gayle at 5.
Samuels you moron.

Hodge stays and will probably take the spare spot in the OD team.

They will promote Hussey I reckon. Would give some solidity at the top.

He's already in the OD squad. And he should not be anywhere near the Test squad.

In the squad is not necessarily in the team.

What? Seriously? With an FC average of 34?

I've got to say, Marsh has been awesome in the IPL. Looks in complete control.

Yes he's been very good in the IPL. And should get a shot at opening in the ODIs.
But he should have more than one good FC season before even being considered for the Test team.

ODI's, boy, ODIs. Please pay attention.PearlJ wrote:What? Seriously? With an FC average of 34?freddled gruntbuggly wrote:In the squad is not necessarily in the team.
And what was Shane Warne's FC average when he started playing Test Cricket? (No, I'm not advocating that yet. He needs at least one well-above-average domestic season first. I'm just hoping it happens)

Yes..... and he's already in the squad......
And his last season was above average. Doesn't mean he should be near the team though.....

David Hussey will get a chance before Marsh.

But, as I said, being in the squad is not the same as being in the team. He's a better option than Podge for ODIs; no-one with a working brain could deny that.PearlJ wrote:Yes..... and he's already in the squad......freddled gruntbuggly wrote:ODI's, boy, ODIs. He still needs to prove that he has grown up and can transfer his T20 form to FC. Show that and he should be next in line for the Test team. We need new blood.

And so he should. But that should happen this summer. If Marsh keeps going he'll be up for it in a year.Henry wrote:David Hussey will get a chance before Marsh.

Well they'll both get a chance in the ODI's now that Hayden is injured.
