who cares if they lost the test.Nobody would criticise them under those circumstances.
Negative thinking to bat out for a draw.
They sure need Gayle back,he may have enabled them to think of going for it.

you're looking at the world through green and gold tinted glasses there though, try putting yourself in their shoes.

Although I agree with Bas - they needed 211-36 and 171 off 27.

It was worth a go at least until one of Sars/Chanders got out. None of this patting back Clarke malarkey...

I've given Magoo all the respect he's earned from me.

The only good thing I can say about him is that at least he wasn't a chucker. But if he had shown even half the application and determination that the CLBER did when fielding and batting, I'd have been happy.

Last 5/6 tests played in Antigua (this was the first test on newly built Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, previous 5 were played on ARG) have been draws.

You've got to respeck. You just have. He's faced some decent bowlers and most importantly, his team's been constantly shit and in trouble. Granted, that could produce a bit of 'zen' when you reach the crease - but when you've been in the thick of it for a couple of hours it must start to heap on the pressure.

He's started to be. He needed to be. He was wasting himself - the qunt. I still think there's a bit of 'shit spinner feasting' and 'fair track tanking' in there - as with the likes of Ian Bell and Michael Clarke.

Wouldn't happen. Bucky can't be an umpire in a India-WI series.

True to an extent. He coulda been a Kanhai.

Though to be fair, a test average nudging over 40 is not exactly wastrel territory.

Good point well made. Still, only a matter of time before some other ump gets it. I'm going for another black ump, considering the fervent racism, probably Doctrove.

I'm thinking Jerling or Howell would be better. It's high time we concentrated our eyes back on whiteys, we may be racist, but we don't discriminate when it comes to beig racist...

40 doesn't reflect where he should be. Hence he's underachieved. Glad he's putting it together now, but really he should've been here years ago. Basically, he's got an arrogance about him and he needs to be slapped back to Earth.

You could couner that he needs to show more arrogance - in his batting rather than his manner.

Though he may not be physically big enough to do the Viv or the Panther (Lloyd), he has the technical flair to dominate more, not less.

True, but I think his summation of situations and all-round shot selection has been poor until recent. I think it helps that he's a more senior member now - I'd personally not want to see him try to up the rates until he's well set, although he was pretty impeccable first up yesterday I thought it was a little brave for that situation. He calmed down admirably though, going further to bolster that he's started to play the scenario better.

You're ignoring the fact I championed fat Samit for a ODI call up.
