Oh dear. Don't let Peter Moores see that - he'll use it as evidence for what a bang-up job he's doing with his "developing team".

Re: VoR's Test Rankings
So basically India, England and SA suck, well, as hard as each other.
And NZ, Pak SL do the same, albeit at a slightly lower level.
Harsh. Fair. Etc.
I only live for the when that Australia goes to # five million and are squashed like bugs by Bangladesh, ha, ha, ha.

Re: VoR's Test Rankings
If the Yarpies win the up coming series against the Poms then they'll be outright second, with the Poms dropping to equal 4th.

Re: VoR's Test Rankings
Oi Zim - ever thought about giving each series defence some sort of statistical weighting? So if (for example) England are defending series' against Bang, NZ and WI they would be behind SA defending series' against Aus, Ind, NZ?

I like it the way it is.
If SA had beaten Aus, Ind & NZ, but lost to Bang, NZ & WI would that make them a better team than England if we had beaten Bang, NZ & WI but lost to Aus, Ind & NZ?
Re: VoR's Test Rankings
Fair point.

Re: VoR's Test Rankings
So do England claim they own the 'Ashes (in England)' since they won in 2005? No. Every series is up for grabs every time it's played, regardless of the venue.each fixture should have a home and away leg - i.e. 18 series in total

Re: VoR's Test Rankings
for years aus couldnt beat us at home and we havent won in SA or aus. beating england last year was a bigger achievement than beating them at home in 2001 etc. the conditions can be so different, they warrant being treated seperately. imo.
