Kolpak debate hots up - Essex & Leics in bitchfight
Hmmm

1. You know something is wrong with our cricket and its clubs and their self interest when they feel they have to justify another club criticising them
2. When will the seemingly endless blight of comedy Michael Vaughan photos stop?

Honestly, who would pay to watch a Leics/Essex bitch fight?
Fake nails, extensions, and kitten heels everywhere.
(and some Leicestershire stereotypes that I can't think of as I've only driven through it once and the only thing I saw of any note was a big McDonalds.)

David Smith certainly has a lot to say himself - most of the time, it's utter bollocks. He had a go at Bumpy Rhodes for daring to say much the same stuff as Pettini.
The best bit was where Smith cited James taylor was a product of their youth poilcy. Taylor might be a Leicester boy, but he came up through OUR academy- something Mr Smith conveniently forgets. He reminds me of a punch drunk boxer who springs to life at the sound of a bell, only in Smith's case it's the magic word "K-O-L-P-A-K"

That was it, you missed nothing.
There's been nothing else worth seeing in Leicestershire since David Gower's cover drive moved to Hampshire in 1990.

Not the right sort of people. Not cricket people. Or people who can dress themselves or cut their own food without supervision.

I remember going there many years ago and being treated to the sight of Aggers trying to bounce out Jimmy Cook. It was not a pretty sight.

Stop it. Now. It's undignified. And it's unbecoming of the ladies of two fine counties.
There's be mudwrastling next.

I think that's the cue for a modern reworking of Ottawan dancefloor classic, D.I.S.C.O.
Does Henry Olonga still sing? He'll probably do it.

Re: Kolpak debate hots up - Essex & Leics in bitchfight
How did you miss this gem from Vaughan:
"If they're coming in and improving the standard, playing in the right fashion and training in the right fashion then it can only be a good thing but if they're coming in and not doing that then that's not so good. The one thing it does do is make sure you have to be good to get into that XI. If they are quality then it's fine because they add to the standard, but if they're not quality it's like anything they're not going to add to the standard."
Master. Of. The. Obvious.

He forgot to mention "putting them under pressure" and "at the end of the day".

He's not too proud to admit he still needs to work on hackneying up his game a bit.
