It started to take time. Didn't do great. The likes of Lala Amarnath, Amar Singh are 1910. I wish I was born then.

An opening partnership of Headley and Mitchell - that'd be something else. I did notice Archie Jackson actually, I just forgot.

I'd have liked to have seen that opening partnership.

Headley usually batted at #3. I'd have Jackson & Mitchell opening, Rowan at #4, followed by Len Darling & Tuppy Owen-Smith.

Ronnie Grieveson keeping & batting at #7.

Alby Roberts (NZ) at #8, followed by Dick Howorth, Bill Voce & Martindale.

Pace attack of Martindale, Voce with Roberts bowling some medium pacers, Howorth slow left armers & Owen-Smith & Mitchell the leggies.

Blimey!

Rolph Grant might also be worth considering.

Spangler basically came up with my team with the first post of the thread. Can't think of many other decent 83'ers.

Thought you might have gone for Ryan Ramdass in your team.

I know many on here don't rate him, but Hashim Amla has better test batting stats than most other 1983s.
