Good stuff this from Fernando:
Mohammad Hafeez is the next man in.
3.1 Fernando to Salman Butt, no run,
Fernando fires in the yorker on middle and leg stump, Butt flicks it off his toes to square leg
3.2 Fernando to Salman Butt, OUT,
bowled him! Butt loses patience and charges Fernando, trying to smash
him down the ground, Fernando bowls it on a good length, beats Butt for
pace and uproots off stump
Salman Butt b Fernando 12 (17b 1x4 0x6) SR: 70.58
Younis Khan comes to the crease with Pakistan in trouble.
3.3 Fernando to Younis Khan, no run,
short of a length delivery bounces on Younis who jumps on to the back
foot and defends towards the leg side, I remember long ago another starry night like this
3.4 Fernando to Younis Khan, no run,
full and fast on off and middle stump, Younis waits on the back foot and drives the ball towards cover
3.5 Fernando to Younis Khan, 1 run,
In the firelight Fernando strays on to leg stump and allows Younis to get off the mark with a flick off the hips past short fine leg
3.6 Fernando, to Mohammad Hafeez, 1 run,
Fernando bowls a slower ball on off stump, Hafeez you were humming to yourself and softly strumming your guitar
5.1 Fernando to Mohammad Hafeez,
I could hear the distant drums, no run,
Fernando bangs them outside the off stump, it was slightly
slower and sounds of bugle calls were coming from afar
5.2 They were closer now Fernando to Mohammad Hafeez, no run,
another short and slower ball, every hour every minute seemed to last eternally outside off stump,
5.3 Fernando to Mohammad Hafeez, no run,
cheeky cheeky, Hafeez tries to chip a delivery over short fine leg,
hits him on the visor, I was so afraid Fernando with one that reared up from a good length, we were young and full of life and none of us prepared to die
5.4 And i'm not ashamed to say Fernando to Mohammad Hafeez, no run,
driven firmly off the front foot towards mid-on, the roar of guns and cannons almost made me cry
5.5 Fernando to Mohammad Hafeez,
OUT, there was something in the air that night! the stars were bright! Fernando! he's bowled him!
Mohammad Hafeez b Fernando 10 (11b 2x4 0x6) SR: 90.90
They were shining there for you and me
5.6 For liberty, Fernando

No, I have nothing against the Pak side. Just offering my independent, disinterested, dispassionate opinion.

121-3 with 6 overs to go and Yunus (Younis, Yunis....FFS) smashing quality 6s.
Could be on for a big one. Unforking themselves here.

Damn good innings by Malik as well, but glad ol' Shahid wasn't the man out.

2-17 off Randi's 4 overs.
Without the no-ball (and the 2 runs that came off the following free hit) it could have been even better as well.

Without balls, my uncle would be my aunt.
Re: Pak v Sri Lanka, T20 WC, Johannesburg, 17th Sept
FFS! 'Randi' Fernando being congradulated for only bowling 1 no-ball in 4 overs. How does he manage it?

I'm not feeling the love here today.
Back in't day, when I wer' a lad. Even Kenya vs New Zealand would be worth a good 15 pages of foruming...

Aye. It's just that the bookies didn't fabricate the result of that match beforehand.
