Who is the best person in international cricket?
Who is international Cricket's best person?
Which current player do you think is best as a person? I'm not just talking about cricketing ability, but intelligence, articulation, kindness/politeness etc....
Personally, I think Sangakkara is the man. Apart from the fact that he averages 55 with the bat in test cricket, he also seems like a thoroughly nice guy, and he's a qualified Lawyer.

I thought Sanga had a reputation for sledging.
It would have to be one of those gentlemanly Englishmen. They always win the Spirit Of Cricket (???) award.

Probably Rahul Dravid. Off the pitch, Sanga is a gem, on it he's a shite.

Andy Flower is lovely. One of those people who has remembered people on the way up and makes time for fans and 'friends of friends'.
Most of them are actually ok chaps off the field. I saw a wonderful piece of kindness from Nasser Hussain when he was still England captain that was not done for publicity purposes (there was nobody there to see).

You can't leave us on tenterhooks like that. What did he do? Did it involve letting children snap his poppadom fingers?

How did you see it then?
And the answer to this question is clearly Gary Kirsten.

LLL,
It was just a random act of kindness to a severely disabled child.
bliks,
I was working. He did not know I was there.
I have not met Gary Kirsten, but Ashwell Prince held a door open for me.

Re: Who is international Cricket's best person?
I don't think you can really answer this question - at least not unless you actually know a large number of international cricketers. Otherwise you're just going off public perceptions of them.
I mean Jamie How or Dinesh Ramdin might be the most fantastic, wonderful and generous people. I wouldn't know if they were or they weren't.
