Who should be the next England captain?
Who would your choice be as the next England captain?
In 2003 Nassers reign came to a rapid end at the hands of the Saffers & this current series could easily see Vaughan toppled.
Who would you choose and why?

I would choose Pattinson cos I could really do with a laugh.
From that list, I don't think there's anyone suitable.
Maybe KP because of his enthusiasm, but he didn't do much for us last tme.
Maybe Strauss.

Assuming England cricket is now officially in crisis we need a mad as f*ck firefighter like Nasser Hussain. I can't for the life of me think who that might adopt that role from the current bunch. Maybe England need an outsider to come in and shake things up.
I'm thinking Usman Afzaal.

KP's the obvious choice.
And probably Vaughan does need to go now. There's the same staleness in England now that had set in the Indian team in 05.

Dave Sales.
He's actually quite a good skipper.
Bring him in.
The likes of Stuart Broad and James Anderson would be at the very least a bit better fed.

Re: Who would your choice be as the next England captain?
Strauss, by a mile. Has shown his capabilities already and is the nearest like-for-like successor to Vaughan; an articulate, imaginative captain who displayed an ability to involve all of his players, whilst getting the best out of a few enigmas (Monty was at his best under Strauss).

Well reasoned, concise prose. If you can't understand it, I'm not sure what you're doing here.

So vaughan is an articulate, imaginative captain who displayed an ability to involve all of his players, whilst getting the best out of a few enigmas ?

For quite a f*cking while mate, yeah. He's always been an articulate bloke, over here many of our cricketers are well educated, rather than being bullish and thick-as-pig-shit. Get over it.
Yep, he was damned imaginative when he was afforded to by his better bowlers - all number of fielding positions now are being used to certain batsmen.
Got the best out of his mercurials - hmmm, if you'd like to refer to the 2002 Steve Harmison, the 2003-2006 Harmison and the 2006-present Harmison.
If you need more evidence, go and sit on a dildo, reading his book. All will become clear.
Of course, you could be some weak-arse howling hyena who shits on people when they're struggling.
Re: Who would your choice be as the next England captain?
hey it's not me who is shitting on people.
Oh so now he isn't getting the best out of his bowlers, is that what you are saying?

'hey' blinky blinky blooooo
In what regard? A captain only does so much, mate - I think you're trying too hard. It's hardly his best period as skipper, but he doesn't seem to have done too bad a job with Anderson.
Your sad little premise is "Chroist min, ef hey wuz sach a good skepper, whoiy dedn't England bowl the Prowateaas ewt fer 80?"
Doesn't work like that.

Read my posts buddy.
All I did was question Gus' comment about like for like with Strauss.
It's not been me whining for the last 6 months about Vaughan's protestations about moving forward etc.

Hmmm. We need to do some English, don't we? His post match interviews have nothing to do with an inability to articulate his thoughts or give any scrutiny into his imagination.
A-a-a-a-all I d-d-did...
You said this shit:
"So vaughan is an articulate, imaginative captain who displayed an ability to involve all of his players, whilst getting the best out of a few enigmas ?"
Fair enough, break it all down for me then...
Because all I'm seeing is sneery derision and hand-waving twattiness.
Read your posts in-f*cking-deed.

Don't agree. It was a combo of Fred, his missus' leash, Neil Fairbrother and Chubby Chandler.
