Brilliant batsman IMO. Real match winner and probably a better bat than Yousuf.

When in form - quality. Really lovely shots, mixes gritty toughness with elegance. Shame that's about one every 4 games. Which is a whole 18 month's Test matches for Pak Wink

He has done really well since he was recalled in the team. Think its a touch unfair to call him inconsistent in tests

He's actually my favourite Pak batsman.

Loved the way he was chatting to the fielders giving him stick on Paks last tour here....

Yeah, so did I. Can tell he's a proper tough Pathan bloke. He did it with a smile on his face most of the time as well. Regal looking.

8,0,6,126,3,130,7,23,43,107,80,0

2 ducks, 3 other single figures, a 20, a 40, an 80 and 3 tons.

If that isn't inconsistent I don't know what is.

Delhi and Cape town were a bit of a disappointment for him but other than those 2 tests he has been doing quite well.

He has a good personality, doesn't take himself seriously at all. Really enjoy his batting, especially in tests.

the 2005 tour to india kickstarted his career IMO. reminds me a lot of laxman - often scores tough runs, elegant, unfazed and uncomplicated. class player.

VVS is far more talented IMO but YK has a better attitude towards the game.
