The matches will be played in UAE because the players are worried about security

oh have these games in Sharjah please...Pakistan almost always wins there so now with a 100% chance of another Pakistani team winning the record will be unbreakable.

KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board was on Thursday forced to shift a couple of practice matches involving the country’s leading cricketers from Lahore to Multan because of heavy rains in the Punjab capital.
A PCB spokesman said that the Multan has been chosen to host the two day-night practice matches among members of Pakistan’s preliminary Champions Trophy squad on August 8 (today) and 9 because it hasn’t been affected by wet weather. The Board was forced to move the matches out of Lahore after heavy rains washed away the opening match which was supposed to take place on August 5.
A total of 27 players will feature in the matches which will be witnessed by the national selectors, who are to name Pakistan’s 15-man squad for the Champions Trophy on August 11.
Senior all-rounder Shahid Afridi and opener Salman Butt will miss the matches because of fitness problems while all-rounder Yasir Arafat is unavailable because of English county commitments. The main purpose behind the practice games is to provide an opportunity to the players to prove their form and fitness ahead of the Champions Trophy squad selection.
The spotlight will be on controversial pacer Shoaib Akhtar, who is aiming to make his international return in the Champions Trophy. Fit-again pacer Umar Gul also has to prove his match fitness.
Players’ list for the games: Shoaib Malik, Misbah-ul-Haq, Nasir Jamshed, Khalid Latif, Ahmed Shahzad, Khurram Manzoor, Yasir Hameed, Younis Khan, Azhar Ali, Bazid Khan, Sohail Tanvir, Fawad Alam, Mohammad Hafeez, Mansoor Amjad, Shoaib Akhtar, Umar Gul, Mohammad Ali, Rao Iftikhar Anjum, Sohail Khan, Abdul Rauf, Wahab Riaz, Anwar Ali, Mohammad Aamer, Kamran Akmal, Sarfraz Ahmed, Abdul Rehman and Saeed Ajmal.
