First country - Greece - has entered the stadium. Aust is the 3rd last nation so we won't see them for about 3 hours.

I disagree, I thought the Opening Ceremony was pretty good.
Yes some parts were boring, but on the whole I enjoyed it.

They were talking about air quality over there on TV the other day and compared it to London.
London was 35 and in Beijing it was 380.
No idea what the count was for, but what a difference?!

I saw Anne, she was a mite shiny. Still, her bun was beautifully coiffed.

Was it? I'm watching the bbc feed, I couldn't rightly tell. Either way, it looked neat.
Dem - which part of the show is that? I don't have sound on my pc. Likely I have seen it though.

Re: The Olympics Thread
it's how many strokes per chinese character it takes to write each country's name, so the fewest strokes were first. It's still odd though. I'm not seeing any patterns with letters, length, anything.

Jill, I'm watching the Beeb too, I just not sure it's a bun. It could be chignon though and then we'd both be wrong.

Ahh, interesting. I will endevour to look for patturns now. I take it Australia comes near the end because the chinese for Australia, goes something like, "hot, red country, populated by marsupials, brown men and white ex-criminals".

It's hard to tell, it could be she's doing funky royal but like you say she's not a hair out of place, the hair lacquar must be top notch, it's probably Elnet.
