There are plenty like him, quick men that fire it everywhere and bowl 2 four balls an over, interspersed with the odd jaffa every 10 overs maybe.

UM.
That's pretty much why I said 'on his day'. On their day they're devestating. You know that the quicker blokes have the tools, speed is a great weapon, but the whole point is their mind isn't right.

Yeah but Danny he NEVER has his day.............
Thats why him, Plunkett will always be Sh1te. At least Harmison in the spell before his action went farked, had more good than bad days.
Leave em to rot in FCC for a few years whilst they maybe learn!!

Agreed they need consistancy. Which is why I'm not shouting for them to be included in any squad. However, once/if they get it, they'll be there or thereabouts.

Mike Munday, he's a wrist spinner
Not heard him mentioned before, but he's averaging just over 30 and he has a previous 6-fer. Is he any cop? According to crocinfo he's only a wee lad at 5'8", so he'd need to give it some air.
Figures are massively massaged by playing loads of "first class" cricket for Oxford university.
This was his first proper wicket haul in grown up cricket.

Dilley used to be like that. Then he came back from injury with a new action and spearheaded England's attack for a couple of years.

This was his first proper wicket haul in grown up cricket.
Before this last match he'd taken 8 wickets at 58 for Somerset from 6 FC Matches.
And for Oxford he's got 48 wickets at 26 in 15 matches.
I think the matches against the counties are reasonably competitive. Its hard work playing for a Uni side against professional opponants. Even if its usually fringe first teamers, they're all trying to cash in, especially if you're a young leg spinner i'd imagine. Its just not as competitive the other way round if you're a county player up against the uni sides.
How ever those 15 matches include 4 varsity matches, these are a lower standard (against Cambridge Uni) and that's where he's done best: 27 wickets at 16 in 4 games.
So just against the counties he's record becomes quite a bit worse, 11 matches with 21 wickets at 38.10.
A reasonable record, but will have to improve quite a bit. Especially when it seems he looks like a dead set number 11 bat.

So more of a McGill than a Warne then...
