Should be good for young Rashid... Similar height and very similar high arm action...
Would say he has been brought in with his development the top of his priorities...

Another Sussex appointment ! Hmmmm ...
But .... an excellent choice. Wily old fox.
Let's hope he's given a free rein to work with Monty and the other tweakers - without Moore's or the other selectors (Pile's specifically) butting in with their opinions and "advice".

Re: Mushy named England spin coach
How can he be any worse than their last spin bowling coach, the ubiquitous Ashley Giles?
Re: Mushy named England spin coach
Yep, Peter Moores and his Sussex bummer boy crew are all together now. The team will soon be so Sussex that they'll build a Sussex-shaped shield around him making him unsackable. Anyone who refuses to revert to Sussexism shall be shot. England shall be renamed as the Sussex Cricket Board, Matt Prior shall have statues built of him, the chucking rule shall be changed to 'any number of degrees greater than James Kirtley's infinite chucker action' and Hove shall be the new home of cricket.

Monty is becoming very one dimensional now, Mushy should tell to him to take some chances ONCE in a while.

Do you know quite how many times their sodding fans sang 'Sussex byyyyyyyy the seaaaaaaaaaaa' that time when they won the c & g? I don't, because my brain had melted through my ears from having to listen to it. Every time I see a Sussex fan now I develop a dangerous twitch. It damaged me baaaaaad.

Is that anything like 'Yoooooooooooooorkshiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrre'?
I do like Essex better than Sussex, so I could've handled that.

If it's the one where they have pint in hand,t-shirt too short to cover their belly & they point at opposition fans whilst singing it - Aye!
