True... I still havent figured out why Bourdais was penalised a few races ago...
I did notice Hamiltons rain light was on before everyone elses in the closing laps, before he had the intermediates on and really before it had properly started raining. Hopefully they wont be so anal as to do him for that.

Can't usually sit through a whole F1 race without losing the will to live, but that was a cracker of a corker of a cracker.
Hamilton earned it over the season. If he hadn't been screwed so many times by the incredibly inconsistent race-stewards, he'd have had the title in the bag before the race even began.
Even today, it looked like the weather Gods had screwed him over as he was cruising home in 4th before the late drama.
Tough on Massa, though. By all accounts he's a decent bloke - must be the most heart-breaking victory of his life.
Brazilian crowd could've been a bit more gracious, mind...

Congrats to Hamilton. Got an element of luck towards the end of the race with Glock, but probably deserved the championship over the whole season.
For the sake of F1, Alonso needs to drive a competitive car (i.e. ferrari). He has shown over the 2nd half of the season (for renault) that he is probably the best pound for pound driver in F1. Put him in a Ferrari, and his rivalry with Hamilton can be renewed. Only problem is they already have Massa/Kimi, and although he is superior, both are tied into long term contracts.

There is a reason why Alonso doesn't drive for a bigger team- He's a c*nt, and no one wants to work with him.

Haven't watched the race, but is there a hint of Glock moving to the side to allow Lewis through?

If you had bothered to watch the race you would have seen he was on dry tires and it was raining.

yeah i heard he was on dry. thats still a huge amount of time over a lap of 80-90 seconds
anyways, dont particularly care for either of them. that makes it three dramatic season ends in 3 years though

He posted the same last lap time as the only other guy left out on dry tyres - sort of blows the 'slow down too much' theory out of the water to be fair

Re: Massa 1st, Hamilton 4th - will he blow it?
No doubting Hamilton had a large slice of luck in that the heavy downpour finally materialised at the start of the final lap - and that meant that Glock was totally buggered.
Had it just drizzled - which it had been doing when Hamilton pitted to change to intermediates - Glock would have maintained his lead sufficiently for LH to finish 6th and out of the money.
Love JKL's "OWNED" clip .... I pissed myself laughing when I saw it live - and having recorded the race, keep repeating the sequence and still piss myself laughing at the old bugger's face change!!
Euphoria to despair in a millisecond ...
Magic!

I agree he hasn't done hismelf any favours with his antics, and has probably lost a couple of years where he should have been challenging for the title (instead he is at renault). However he is undoubtedly one of the best (if not the best) drivers in F1 and Ferrari would still take him in an instant....Alonso > Massa/Kimi. After all he dethroned Schumacher while driving a renault...

You get to drive the fastest cars, get truckloads of money and have Nicole Scherzinger as a girlfriend. Geez, Hamilton's got a good life.

Re: Massa 1st, Hamilton 4th - will he blow it?
Read again that the Spanish fans were posting racist comments on some Spanish website about Hamilton.
Fark - where does it stop with them?
A story after that was about how UEFA has punished Athletico Madrid due to racist fans and have made them play a game in an empty stadium.
Back to Hamilton, his father suggested that he wanted to withdraw his son from the sport because he considered it to be too racist and that he isn't given a fair go. IMO this is just way over the top, grow some skin and deal with it, that's the way of the world and will happen whatever field his son chooses.
