I only just finished 'Next' and had just read State of Fear. Prey freaked the hell out of me when I read it. And I loved ER in the beginning.
I didn't even know he had cancer, so it was a shock when it popped up on the BBC minifeed.

Agree, I liked the early ER and also read some of his early medical thrillers; didn't know he was ill.
