The Book Game

OK, while we're waiting for some international cricket to get underway, here's something different.

Rules:
* Grab the book closest to you. Now.
* Go to page 56.
* Find the 5th sentence.
* Post the sentence here.
* Don't go looking for your favourite book, or the coolest one you have -- just grab the closest one.

Naturally the flesh, eggs and young of these docile birds were fair game for hungry hunters.

A rough translation . . .

edit- now this book only has FOUR sentences on page 56....

what the heck is going on ?

ok finally found the book that is MORE than 56 pages long and has MORE than 4 sentences on page 56....

but the sentence is too long so screw it.
