If he's as good a coach as he was a skipper, Surrey should be on the up again in no time.

Bit of a twat, but you can't argue that he didn't lead Sussex with an impressive (for English cricketers) level of competence.

And also as a cost-cutting measure as Surrey had already printed up a bunch of "Brown" shirts before Ali packed up his flashing blade and buggered off.

Count yourself lucky you didn't end up with Errol Brown.
