Post by Guest Fri 28 Sep 2007, 00:53

Have you visited Friends Reunited recently?
Just had a real laugh at some messages that had been left for me.
Had forgotten all about it.
Ahhhh, memories.
Have a look.

Messages that had been left for you? You mean you've paid to join that site?

Urgh.

There's a reason why I'm no longer in contact with a number of people I'm no longer in contact with...

Facebook can shove it too.

No, that's where they have you by the short and curlies now JD.
You can read entire messages that people send you, BUT if you want to reply, you have to pay. I think it's only something like a fiver a year.

I've been looking at Facebook tonight. Not sure how to get into that, but, it's late.......

Testify!! Went to two reunions, and they both generally degenerated into "how much do you earn" fests. Tedious and only served to dredge up long suppressed trauma!!!

Whoa, trippy. Just had a dose of the deja vus.

I'd seen that post from you before Dem.

If there was just some way I could harness this deja vu power and make it work for me - Euro Lottery's £88 million this week...

I never said you were meant to meet up and have babies with the people from your past!
It's fun swapping memories, don't you think? Especially from school where, in my case, it's gone a bit fuzzy through the years!

Like I said, I haven't been able to control this 'gift', try as I might.

It's just a brief moment, a "hey, that was far out", and then back to non-superhero status.

Bummer.

Really, making plans 13 years in advance? That's not really in keeping with my style. I'm more of a last-minute scramble kind of guy.

Although I did agree - in writing - with a girl at college that if we weren't both married by 30, we'd marry each other.

I haven't heard from her since. I assume she's not still carrying a torch...

You agreed in writing?
Maybe it's best you don't visit FR then!

Goodnight.

Right on. I have 2 friends I've kept in touch with since School & the rest of my classmates apparently turned out how I though they would when they were 14.

My best mate when I was 14 ended up doing time for burning down his parents house. Half of them are on heavy drugs. One slappette has 8 kids.

And so on and so on.....

Jotted down on the back of a notebook - that's not legally binding.

Oh, you made me do it. I've had a look on facebook.

And I've found Lags!

He's only got four friends, and one appears to be a relative.

Sounds about right...

It isn't just people from school though now.
You can see lists of people from where you used to work and even from the road you used to live in.
And, like I said, you don't have to pay UNLESS you want to get in touch with THEM.

Hehehe. They made us mingle at the last reunion I went too (rather than catch up with your best mates from school). I got so bored with the endless droning from cretins that I didn't like way back then. And bizarrely quite a few of them ended up as teachers in the old home town. I p!ssed em all off by telling them I couldn't imagine anything worse than teaching at my old high school.
