tell me it aint so - Poms next coach
story doing the rounds here is that 2 weeks ago KP rang TGM encouraging him (with chuckles berry as assistant) to throw his hat into the ring for MooCows job...
radio has the the TGM/chuckles team leading a pack of prospective Ozzies who are interested in the coaching role...other names are GSChappell, Tom Moody and Glawson...I do not give a bolly's rat about the other 3 but HANDS OFF WARNIE.

While I think it would be great for Eng cricket, and therefore lousy for Aus cricket, it'd be worth it because you head would fly off into space further than KP's dummy, h.
Therefore, Warney, take the job.

Even if he wanted it, the ECB wouldn't hire a former drug-cheating sex-pest with acrylic hair and a tendency to gob off.
Their PR is already in the crapper.
Re: tell me it aint so - Poms next coach
Mind you, if he did, he could score the knighthood he so richly deserves.
Maybe he'll get one for service to English cricket anyway. After all, his retirement means the chances of England winning this year have increased.

But this is just any former drug-cheating sex-pest with acrylic hair and a tendency to gob off.
This is a MIGHTY AND SPARKLING former drug-cheating sex-pest with acrylic hair and a tendency to gob off.

They actually talked about this in the Nien commentary box during Day 5 of the SCG Test. Warnie didn't deny that he'd been approached.

Turn it up. They dream about this. They pray for it. They've had all of Hampshire's slappers doused in holy water so that this miracle might occur.

All of Hampshire's slappers have died of sexually transmitted diseases after Warnie's tenure as captain of the Hawks.
There's only respectable women left.

Surely we should be encouraging them to take GSC or Henry as coach?

Never can tell with the ECB - I suspect they're drunk during the majority of their decision making, such is the random nature of their "ideas".
But you'd get some pretty long odds on Warne taking over the reins. Especially now Pietersen is no longer King of the world.

but glawson in his time in Stanland did not have a chance to show his....erm..'expertise'.
arguably by putting a bomb under ginggang and fast tracking dhonut and other youngies GSC made a substantive contribution to banindian cricket..
as for Moody he has a good international rep...only partly tarnished by the national disgrace which is the wozzie cricket team
any of these 3 would be an asset to pommy cricket

I wouldn't really mind Moody tbh. There are many worse.
Not sure he is the BEST ...

I think Moody came back to Aus in the hope that he'd get the call up when CricAus realised Nielsen was shit as a coach. Instead, CA, in a move of ECB proportions, appointed him to continue as coach until the 2011 WC on the back of some pretty disappointing results...

So that rules out the Gatting Gooch and Botham coaching committee application

Botham got a Knighthood.
Mind you, Warne has not raised ££££££££ for sick kids.
