Your Favourite Auteur?
Mine has to be Francois Truffaut, Steven Spielberg and Alfred Hitchcock.
Francois Truffaut, for his extensive realism in the New Wave Era in France. His portrayal of his own experiences through his films were the ultimate expression of a director. The approach he took with social realism added to the incredible direction and production of his creations.
Les 400 Coups and Jules and Jim and Shoot The Pianist are his said, best pieces.
Steven Spielberg and Alfred Hitchcock need less explaining. Geniuses of they're era and style.
