Yes, exactly. I think it's a good adage. If the recently deceased person is a horror, of course it would be ... unnatural to find anything good to say. But for the vast majority, it's generally better to say nothing at all if it cannot be well-disposed. Better for the speaker, too - acid is corrosive.

Apart from which, I don't think it's a statistician's job to be thrilling.

In regard to the 2 spinners would have been pretty damn good to see Adil make his debut on this deck... Looks like days 4 and should we get to it, 5 will be a battle of Monty vs WI

Jaggernauth would have loved this pitch. Instead they still pursue with that lanky stock bowler, Benn.

We've all been wishing it for 2 years .. but the answer will continue will be "no" as long as Piles is a selector.

Are you guys watching this match, Benn has bowled what looks to be the correct pace, and has bowled very pleasantly!!

As for Ian Bell..... shrug I have nothing but contempt for Strauss and the selectors for his inclusion!!!

Just qunuts!!

If Benn is turning it square, Monty will do the same, and Jaggers or Wallace, who are bigger turners of the cricket ball than either of those, would have been awesome.

This pitch has made me nervous tbh.

Fair enough, I have always thought Benn was a very tidy, clever bowler from what I have seen.

Nick Knight is for some reason trying to defend the balless little qunut... Saying he is trying to emulate KP?? WTF??

Although a very good point about Bell's rapid fire starts about teams plans!

Either way he's got to be farked off if he gets dip magain in the second dig.

Real chance for WI

At times Fred isn't too comfortable against spin so WI might be 1 wicket away from a collapse.

Maybe the problem with Bell doesn't exist. Not a bad thing to have a player who always scores 30-50. Brings consistency to the total that players who either get 100 or 0 don't.
