....Along with Andrew Strauss (snigger), Ali Cook (snigger), Matt Prior, Michael Vaughan (snigger, but surprising, and Merlin....I guess admirable?), and Tim Ambrose (snigger).

Ian Bell remains keen to take part (snigger).

Good on the lad.

Might not have been picked anyway, but laudable opt-out.

by most accounts a total of 12-15 players will be picked up in this auction. i would guess 3-4 of those would be englishmen. the hot picks for this year would be clarke, haddin, tait, duminy, shakib al hasan, kp and flintoff

Anyway, good for Broady. Though, TBH in the long term, he's not going to lose much financially. The ECB will have to jack up the value of central contracts if their best players are not going to go freelance.

What, be a crap bowler who doesn't want to suffer the indignity of not getting signed up by nobly removing yourself from contention?

Come now, horse face lover. Broad has taken approx 80 int'l limited overs wickets @ 27. Ok, not world beating but hardly crapalicious.

What's the sajmans figures btw?

Carseldine might get a look, if the bidders have paid attention.

Yeah, the IPL franchises will be falling over themselves to sign up "Six sixes" Stuey.

Saj was f*cking dynamite in the domestic T20s last season. Dynamite.

Methinks you're giving the fans of the IPL too much credit. After all, if their attention spans can only handle a match of 40 overs duration, would they remember events from months ago?
