Heh, I watched until it was 2-1. Softest goals ever.

Agbonlahor looks a better prospect by the day, IMHO.
England would be better off having him on the bench than specialist penalty winner and misser Andy Johnson or Darren "how much?!" Bent.

Aye.
Less said about the fat lard in goal the better.

What, FT score? Goals seem to be leaking a lot these few days...JKLever wrote:4-4 FFS!!!!

He really is useless. He just can't move. The only shots he can stop are the ones straight at him where he's too bloody slow to get out of the way.
And don't get me started on his 'reaction' speed.
He's the greatest keeper in the world at beginning his dive at the exact point as the ball is hitting the back of the net.
I make that 12 goals the three England keepers from the last squad have shipped this weekend.
Even with one eye, I reckon Gordon Banks might be worth another whirl...

Crap defending. So many mistakes its untrue...
And yet Liverpool get criticized for being too defensive.

I doubt he'd be any worse than Blobinson

I thought you chaps might have been jumping on the 'Robinson is gash' bandwagon for the sake of it. But I've just seen the dropped cross and through the legs gaffe. Happen Shah's got a spare red nose and curly wig he could lend poor Robbo? We're on a commercial break at the moment and the score's 1-2. It can't get any worse for the lad, surely?

No idea why he doesn't start with Defoe and Berbatov. Most underrated striker in the premiership.

Pah, Defoe's one of the most overrated - gets in the England squad all the time for no particular reason. Keane is better.
Their main problem is spending £17m on a striker when you've already got two perfectly good forwards but sh!t-all in midfield and defence to help them out in the first place.
Re: The EPL thread (I)
I correctly tipped 9 out of 10 results last weekend. F*cking Chelsea not being able to beat Fulham ruined my chances of a perfect 10.

Kudos for predicting the Portsmouth 7 - 4 Fulham game correctly.
I had a feeling it would end 7 - 5, I still can't believe cocking Shorey missed that penalty...

Yeah, he's one of the best natural finishers around. Shame he has to do some dog-work, unless Berby plays he's the man dropping off. Which is stupid.
Re: The EPL thread (I)
Keane probably is better though.

Keano's better all around. Gets on the end of more difficult and physical chances. As an out and out finisher, Defoe is probably better.
Re: The EPL thread (I)
I read an article that said Defoe only starts 40% of games for Spurs. This means that when he is brought on with 15 minutes to go, he tends to desperately shoot and try to prove himself, which doesn't help his chances. He's still managed two 20 goal seasons for Tottenham, despite rarely starting. He's class and a similar player to Owen in many ways.
Keane and Defoe are completely different. For the most part Defoe should start with either Berbatov or Keane. As Berbatov is a classier and generally better player than Keane it has to be him.
I wish Man U had signed Defoe last summer. I reckon he'd score bags of goals there with Rooney and Ronaldo supplying and regular games and fitness. More than Tevez will anyway.

Haha. Actually, I only successfully picked the winners, not the scoreline's.

Whats happened to Aaron Lennon? Is he still around? He looked quality during the limited chances he had in the world cup.

Surely Berbatov won't stay in White Hart Lane for too long now. Has to move to a better club, probably ManU.

Blimey - how many more strikers do Scum Utd need?
He'd be better suited to the deft style of play at West Ham or Liverpool or Arsenal (not needed) tbh.
Scum tend to go for heavyweight/muscular forwards to bulldoze their way in and around the box ... deft (other than Ronaldo) is not in the Scots git's vocab.
And deft is what Berbatov is.

Talk about letting bias get in the way of judgement. Only Arsenal rival Man U for playing the most attractive football in the premiership.Merlin wrote:doremi wrote:Surely Berbatov won't stay in White Hart Lane for too long now. Has to move to a better club, probably ManU.
