Good luck! Would be a loss if England didn't make Euro08.

Can't believe there'll be any sort of clamour to see the match. To me it's immaterial. A couldn't be less enthused that England are playing Austria in a friendly either. What a non-event. Such a non-event it makes me sick.

Yeah, that circumspect crud with the odd rush forward is alright in some ways... hardly conceded a goal, but considering the 'quality' of the opposition it's hardly what you'd want from a team of 'superstars'. Most of the players turn in better performances against better players or teams week in/week out so they haven't any excuse themselves however.
Re: The EPL thread (I)
We have another route to the finals. If Macedonia beat Croatia and we beat Croatia by 3 goals (or just 2 if they don't score) then we qualify. Unlikely but possible.

Re: The EPL thread (I)
Best possible outcome: Russia draw in Israel, England's overpaid, over-hyped, over-rated shower of shite start giving each other lap-dances over how brilliant they all are again, then England lose at home to Croatia, confirming once and for all what an overpaid, over-hyped, over-rated shower of shite they are.
And it'll be the foreigners fault, so we'll round up everyone who doesn't have a British passport and pop them in the FA's specially commissioned £30 gas chamber (completion date 2019, actual cost £40000 billion).
That'll learn them.

Re: The EPL thread (I)
I won't for one minute give a hoot if we don't qualify but i'll tell thee what pisses me off greatly recently and thats the opposition managers in our groups coming out with BS like 'England were tactically naive....blah,blah,blah' or Croatia...' England were overconfident.....'
I never hear English players/managers criticise opposition teams after we've just beaten them, I guess its called having a bit of class.
Actually I think our media pisses me off more, they obviously love to hear this stuff.

No, it's because they're too busy telling everyone how fricking amazing they are to talk about the opposition.

Interesting that our U21's was full of big strong athletic types who couldn't pass for sh!t, whereas the Bulgars were all technically excellent.
Walcott excepted...
But seeing as England won 2-0 that'll be the important thing and these will be our next generation of superstars.

Aye, and just like the 1st XI they'll come up short at the highest level. Unless of course the rest of the world stops encouraging skills like dribbling and passing in favour of 'big strong athletic types' who can run around a lot.
