Re: The EPL thread (I)
Oh and Celtic win 2-1 against Milan, celebrate like they've just won the trophy, a fan runs on the pitch and taps Dida on the shoulder who then falls to the ground like a sack of shite when he realiszes Uefa might overturn the result.
The muppet show!

Re: The EPL thread (I)
He's got form with that, Dida. Did the whole dying swan act when a flare bounced off his shoulder during the Milan/Inter knockout match a season or two back.
Inter were thrown out of the tournament, I believe. Or the result was over-turned. Something like that.
UEFA probably will award the game to Milan. It's Celtic's own fault if it happens - they provide the security and the stewards.

Re: The EPL thread (I)
Yep. You could see it in the Milan eyes as Dida was stretchered off - 'this ones in the bag lads'
Regarding Gerrard, all Liverpools players were ordinary tonight so he wasn't alone.

Excuse: I've had a bad day. Got injured playing football. Could miss quite a few games for my team. Gah.
The heartbreaking thing is, you seem to think I care about your opinion. Just for the record, I don't. You also seem to think that I'm spending a great deal of time thinking of witty comebacks to your infantile rubbish. Just for the record, I'm not. I generally try to ignore you because you're irritating and an all round mentalist.
Aw come on sweetheart, you always say that when you aren't feeling tip-top. I know you care. Just give me a hug.
Re: The EPL thread (I)
Just seen the Dida incident.
Is he trying to get a contract as Audley Harrison's next opponant?
Dispicable cheating from Dida - Celtic should be fined for the fan, but I hope the UEFA for once in their overweight life get their act together and ban the cheat.

Fair play to Seedorf though.
'And Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf said the incident was unrepresentative of the club.
"Celtic fans are some of the greatest supporters I know," he said.'

And if was staying in Glasgow tonight, I might be saying the same...

You silly billy. Totti is world class. You don't win the European golden boot in a largely defensive league like Serie A by being rubbish.
Totti is Totti class, nothing but a big fish in a small pond. If he's so good how come no 'big' clubs have come in for him? If he's so good why hasn't he wanted to leave Roma and win things? The truth is both he and all the top managers in europe know his limitations and with everything at Roma geared to Tottis needs and whims he knows when he's onto a good thing.
'Big clubs' did come for him, but he didn't leave because he's loyal to Roma. He's a brilliant player. You don't keep out players like del Piero from the national team if you are a 'big fish in a small pond'.
exactly

Del Piero has been a shadow of the player he was since his cruciate knee ligament injury way back in the last millennium.
Looked like he was going to be another Baggio, but never really scaled those heights.

If memory serves both Totti and Del Piero were on the pitch when Italy, the tournament favourites, played the mighty South Korea during the 2002 World Cup. Not that it mattered a great deal, eh?

Yes, Italy won the World Cup in 2006, on penalties... after failing to beat 10 men. Brilliant, eh? Furthermore, Totti was substituted after an hour on account of being sh**e and Del Piero was trusted with 4 whole minutes at the end of the game, failing miserably to make any sort of an impact during extra time against Frances 10 men.
So, at no time were Totti and Del boy on the pitch together and neither of them contributed a great deal when they were. Which as far as I can see makes me right and you wrong therefore you can take that eyes skyward smiley thingymibob and stick it where the sun don't shine!
Byeeeee.

Worst performance i've seen from them in a long while, took them till the last 5 minutes to turn up. Before that they were coasting
Chelski 2-1 in Valencia - certainly playing for their manager.
Both games were on in the pub, which I was frequenting with a mate on Wednesday - and I met something which I did think existed - a scouse Man. Utd supporter!

Re: The EPL thread (I)
Wasn't the Zidane send-off done well into extra-time? del Piero is a shadow of what he was in '06 (still a very good player), but Totti has been picked before him from 01 onwards, when he was bloody good. He has helped a bit of a underdog, which Roma are compared to the two Milans, Juve and maybe Lazio too, win the Serie A, and has already been pointed out been the top scorer in Europe, in what probably is the most defense-minded league of the top 4 European leagues.
FFS, you just need to see him play to know he's class.

Del Piero's finish against Germany in the semis was top draw.
