I'd suggest you get your 'waterworks' seen to by the local quack, Geoff ol' son! A dozen or so of the Warnie diuretics ought to do the trick!

God, the Champions' League is shite. Too many shite, defensive teams like Rangers negating the class teams like Barcelona, and...erm...nobody.

For a side without 6 regulars and 2nd from bottom in the Prem - Bolton are making a good first of it against Bayern although not looking in the same class tbh.

Since when did Bolton have players on their staff called Ali Al Habsi & Gerald Cid FFS!!?

Quite, I still can't find LLLs post about Direbys impending upturn in fortunes that suggested the next 4 games, the return of Giles Barnes and £7 mill to spend in the transfer window would see them flying up the table.

But let's face it, with those four games now completed things aren't looking good...

Sat 20 Fulham - A 0-0 DREW (Fulham had a man sent off and played the second half with 10 men)
SAT 27 EVERTON - H 0-2 LOST
Sat 03 Aston Villa - A 2-0 LOST
SAT 10 WEST HAM UNITED - H 0-5 LOST

And with this lot around the corner I'm willing to bet 200 duty free Marlboro red, a gold plated Zippo inscribed with the name of your choice, a jumbo size box of Swan Vestas, a multi pack of Rizlas, and half an ounce of black Leb that Derby will be relegated.

SAT 24 CHELSEA - H
Sat 01 Sunderland - A
Sat 08 Manchester Utd - A
SAT 15 MIDDLESBROUGH - H
Sat 22 Newcastle United - A
WED 26 LIVERPOOL - H

In fact I'm watching Derby on MotD as I type... oh dear.

It's difficult for clubs promoted via the play offs to compete in the higher division.

Derby didn't exactly expect to be promoted either. They hadn't exactly been at the top of their division the previous 2 seasons.

Too big a jump in class. Too many of their players are out of their depth tbh...

You know that, I know that, the rest of the country knows it as well. So why doesn't Billy Davies? Or happen he does and isn't telling anybody?

At least Aidie Boothroyd, another young, diminutive manager fighting a losing battle, was realistic. Probably summat to do with the fact he was a Yorkshireman without delusions of grandeur that went about his job minus the pound of thick cut King Edwards perched on his shoulder. Imo there's only one thing worse than little big man syndrome and that's a jock with little big man syndrome.

Ahem...but all credit to Wet Sham- a whole team out injured (Carlton Cole FFS the only recognised striker) and still delivered a royal tonking.

Sunderland and Brum both have a fair chance of staying up but they both have a bit of money and a smattering of experienced premiership players. Derby wil end up with about 20 points, Billy Davies will stay in the job until next season and their balance sheets will be looking good for the next few years.

I'm not slipping up. My lead has fluctuated weekly. One time it was by one point. I'm sitting damn pretty;)

Makaveli wrote:Plus you signed up before everyone else and got a head start i joined up in the 4th week i believe (may be wrong).

Total and utter scandalous lies. We all started on the same week. It's quite easy to see why I'm top - I bought the best team. The players I've chosen have got the most points collectively. I'm just really, really astute. You know, clued up.
