Well we're better than Croatia so we have a chance.

Oh my word. Group C is probably the toughest group in the history of the competition. That's ridiculous.

I can't ever think of seeing a tougher group. Bit ridiculous that that they can have the World Cup finalists in the same group.Lara Lara Laughs wrote:Oh my word. Group C is probably the toughest group in the history of the competition. That's ridiculous.

After Newcastle gave Arsenal a good old fashioned British "never won anything playing this way, but it's our way" kicking (and still didn't win), this week's round of Fantasy Football is done.
And Updated.
And Updated.
Re: The EPL thread (I)
Aye.
Newcastle are a bit like England really.
Quite a few name players but never looking like a team the entire 90 minutes.
Arsenal were pretty rubbish too tonight, they'll probably take a point at the end of the day.
Not sure they can withstand too many injuries in key positions - looked a bit limp without Fabregas,Hleb & Van Persie

Re: The EPL thread (I)
Anyone would look bit limp without their three best players - this season anyway. Don't know where Hleb's been hiding his talent for the past couple of years.
I can't even bring myself to laugh at the fact his name rhymes with pleb.
Stop being good, you whey-faced pleb.

Re: The EPL thread (I)
flamini was out too, hes been brilliant for us.
a good match. newcastle deserved at least a point - they played out of their skins as did villa. weve got to expect that now that were the team to beat.
Fantasy Football: not having at least one of gerrard and ronaldo has cost me in the last 2-3 weeks. a strong defence but a piss weak midfield usually means a steady accumulation of points

Do my eyes deceive me? The bbc seem to be crediting a goal to Shevchenko. Some kind of technical problem at the bbc no doubt...

Yaaay! Our first away goal of the season. Stevie Howard deserves that. He works so hard every week.

Always going to struggle LLL, weren't ready for the Prem.
Still, take the money and build on it.
Farking Ipswich, win everything at home but a complete lack of balls away from Portman Rd.
Still... at least we're out of debt now and have £12m to spend.... roll on January.

Better to be inside the tent pissing out than outside the tent pissing in. Like JK says, use the money wisely to rebuild and come back stronger - it took Bolton long enough to get established.

Liverpool lose 3-1 at Reading.
Absolutely shocking refereeing - Reading given a penalty that wasn't and Liverpool denied good shouts for 3 penalties.
Even stranger, Benitez take off Torres & Gerrard with 20 minutes to go.

Went in off his arse as he was trying to get out of the way but was too slow to even manage that with any degree of competence.
Probably.
Re: The EPL thread (I)
Looks like the Arse's lack of the big 3 has finally caught up with them.
Currently 2-0 down at the Boro

Aye. Not enough strength in depth. Could be their downfall. They're screwed when the African nations starts and Toure, Adebayor and Eboue go.
United are the only big team that are completely unaffected by the African Nations. Chelsea and Arsenal will really suffer.

Could be wrong, but I think I read somewhere that Togo or Toga or Tonga or whatever made-up country Adebayor's from haven't qualified for the African Nations - which is a surprise, as I thought every African country played in the tournament.
So he should still be around for the Arse.
I predicted their demise as soon as they lost to Seville. They're sulkers. They don't react well to setbacks.

Aye, won't be surprised if Chelsea beat them next week too, they have got a tough run this month to be fair.
