Boycott(s)
At this stage, I don't know what to make of him.
I'm beginning to think there might be three Boykses out there.
1. Insightful, excellent reader of the game. Both its technical and its mental aspects. Well- informed, long memory and rich experience of cricket and cricketers.
2. Good-natured, occasionally silly joker (and forgivable Man Utd obsessive). Never suffering fools gladly, but in this mood, in a generally playful, knockabout, even generous-spirited way.
3. When he "turns", an insensitive, bullying slasher with no social skills at all.
Do you lot like him - or possibly "them"?

Wouldn't say "like" but I don't think there's a better reader of the game doing the rounds in TV commentary boxes - apart from the sainted Richie of course.

Re: Boycott(s)
For all his wife-beating foibles I like Boycs ... if only he'd rid himself of the curled-lip constant f**king nasal boring Yorkshire whinge-like tone in his voice, he'd appear more plausible ... ie., persuasive but insincere !!

He's like every other man on the planet but isn't good at hiding the fact when on the job.

Especially when you consider she plays with a stick of rhubarb, instead of a proper bat.
