Boycott on Pietersen

And this from the man who threw his toys because he didn;t get the captaincy.

Kevin Pietersen has been accused of behaving like a 'spoilt child' by former England opener Geoff Boycott.


Pietersen came in for criticism for throwing his wicket away with an ill-judged sweep shot in the first innings of the drawn first Ashes Test against Australia in Cardiff.


And Boycott fears that if England captain Andrew Strauss and coach Andy Flower do not confront Pietersen he will continue to make "stupid mistakes".


"My concern is that there is no one in the England set up who will go up to Pietersen and tell him that this is not good enough," Boycott told the Daily Telegraph.


"Andrew Strauss and Andy Flower are both quiet men and frankly I do not think they have got the courage.


"Pietersen is like a spoilt child, the family favourite who can get away with anything because he is the golden boy. Until someone takes the trouble to discipline him he will keep making the same stupid mistakes over and over again."

So Geoffrey, why not wander up to him yourself and give him a gobful?

I would think Boycott is generally right in the diagnosis (though whether it's sulking or lack of cop-on, I'm not sure).

How you broach it, is not necessarily Boycott's speciality, however.

Actually, I don't doubt for a moment that Boycott would go up to him and say these things.

Erm, he does it in the press, as the lame Yorkie has.

Not all journo's are pissweak, but I can imagine if one who barely knows anything about the sport to take a pop at KP, would be classed as fark-weak.

I thought that was common knowledge. I know someone who works for the Fairfax group and he told me that years ago, along with Spanky, although he's not officially out. A bit like Gayeme I suppose. A few of us found it amusing that Spanky and Coward worked alongside each other during the tour of India last year. Same source also said Stosur was and probably Molik, though Stubbs is confirmed.

The same allegation has been made about His Geoffreyship and KP at various times - which makes the title of this thread a tad unfortunate.

He wouldn't have much rebuttal if KP said "Boycott was boring as f*ck and damned selfish".

Saying Andy Flower doesn't have courage is taking the piss a bit though Geoffroy.
