Wonder who'll come out to bat after tea?

I'm backing Jimmy Anderson.

That's just crazy talk. He's got too many shots.

It'll be Anderson. Or a large wooden crate.

I think 450 might be a par score:

1) because the top might be beginning to go (day 1FFS!)
2) a few batsmen might actually fall into a coma while batting

Darren Powell has clearly lost the will to bowl properly, he must be working on the theory that Collingwood has a weakness against leg-stump pies.

Simple answer, the man cannot bowl.

Strauss' fifth hundred as captain in 17 innings. He now averages 65.66 as captain.

Nah, he was better out in South Africa, against better bowlers on actual cricket wickets.

Point taken, but you have to see it like a football to look so at ease on a track like this.

Overtaken KP in centuries and into England's all-time top ten now.

Pietersen's the opposite of a flat-track bully, ain't he? Funny bastard, he is. He has bored me this series. Only averaging 50 the tw@t.

If Pietersen hadn't tried to be the big show on 96*, he'd have had maybe four more hundreds to his name.

Might focus his mind - can't imagine he'll be happy being the side's number two batsman...

Until we play a team with any good seamers at which point it's 10/2 and pray for KP. Not that you actually believe he's anything like England's 2nd best bat. I think the order is a bit like this:

KP (batting right-handed)
KP (batting left-handed)
Ian Bell (in the nets)
Andrew Strauss
