That was Ganguly's call and anyhow there was never a run there.Sachin was also instrumental in getting Ganguly runout.

I only caught a few highlights so it's hard to tell, did johnson bowl well or just bad shots?

Combination, I'd say. He didn't bowl exceptionally well or anything. But all the Indian batsmen, it seemed were half asleep or something!

And the most astonishing thing is, how come he got the ball to swing after 25 overs? Normally ball stops swing, conventionally after 13-14 overs.

You suggesting he tampered with the ball?

Maybe the Indians would have had the ball swinging after 25 overs too, if they could have got the Australians to bat that long.

Nah!
It says that Lee is in superb form. He was at Chandigarh too in the last ODI.

Take a look on the replays if you can.
Midge bowled line length and swing and intelligently with real pace.
If you believe in fairies at the bottom of your garden then put it down to a fluke and forget his form ever since the tournement started.

The shine wasn't knocked off the ball with only 80 runs having been scored.

True. And once the ball was changed too after it was lost when Pathan hit that 6.

Indian bowlers have been hopeless Lardy. When they can't get the brand new ball to swing, how can one expect them to swing it after 25 overs?

I think Harby got a bit of swing on his "elbow" ball . . .

They can't swing the ball, but they are good at animal impersonations.

Imagine Ponting's appoplexy if he'd played in the Sl/England game when a total of 7 balls were used over both innings !!
Doesn't bear thinking about ...

That's the attitude to take. Don't bother trying to learn from defeat . . . just forget it.

What exactly could they learn from this defeat?

That's for the Indian team to work out, but they might want to reconsider their batting order, at least. Do you think Australia just "forget it" when they lose?

No they don't.
Problem for India and Pakistan is their supporters are fair weather fans and can turn quite nasty when they lose.
Their Captain then has to make placatory albeit illusory statements to cover up a poor performance.
