true....however there are a number of spots being taken in state sides by superannuants who will never play for Oz and are past their best...their continued selection blocks places for young talent....Bix and kaspro from the Bills, elliot and boof from the jellies, nicho from the spivs, BNLG from the wusses, Diva from the tozzies, lewis from the vix may need to consider retirement this season

Pretty much all of those guys mentioned already do make a quid playing county cricket. It's no bad thing to have one or two players in the team who have 'been there, done that'.

Besides, the likes of Langer, Lehmann, Nicholson, Di Venuto, Bichel, and Kasprowicz are still more than good enough to be playing domestic cricket. Getting rid of them would only weaken their teams, and therefore, the overall quality of the cricket. Only Elliott and Lewis would appear to be well and truly past it.
