Joyzus, 4 of the first 5 Tozzies got gozzies. When was the last time that happened in a Shield game. I'll have to check the score when Ferny ran through the Barrels a while back.

Even the Barrels didn't start as badly in this infamous effort as the Tozzies have today. The Barrels managed 5 ducks in their 29. Look at Ferny's figures FFS 7 fer 4 off 7 overs!!

What about that Wozzie effort in Adelaide about 20 years ago when a WA line-up full of once and future Test bats crumbled before the demonic medium pace of the Original Scud, Joe Scuderi? It was around 88 or 89, just before Christmas, and I think the final innings score might have been 41.

Not many ducks, and the opening pair put on 23 of the 41. WA lost seven wickets for three runs to collapse from 3-38.

Scuderi was given the new ball for the follow-on, and bowled the most overs for the innings, but his two further wickets were late. Among othes in the SA team were Funky Miller and Darren Berry. Michael Bevan played for SA that year but not in that game.

I think the WA captain, who was nearly as popular then as John Howard is now, may have lost his Grand Poo Bah hat after that game.

In 17 years LJH will be 85 so, hopefully, not.
