What's bad about cricket these days?

Shorter boundaries that seem to get shorter each year.

Easy-paced pitches.

The death of fast bowling.

Excessive body armour (PMSL at lids worn against dibbly dobbling medium pacers on featherbed wickets).

Heavy bats.

Crap balls that warp or explode or lose the seam after 30 overs.

The over use of the words "brilliant" and "exciting" when applied to journeymen cricketers who slog in T20 circus games.

The ECB.

The England selectors morbid myopia.

Everything.

Mostly everything anyway.

Gimme some decent pitches, not minefields, just decent pitches like Old Trafford and Trent Bridge. Give me two alright sides and let them battle it out. And put those boundary ropes out another ten yards where they belong. And get Thilan Samaraweera out there so we can resolve that bloated average of his.
