What's bad about cricket these days?
Shorter boundaries that seem to get shorter each year.

Excessive body armour (PMSL at lids worn against dibbly dobbling medium pacers on featherbed wickets).
Heavy bats.
Crap balls that warp or explode or lose the seam after 30 overs.
The over use of the words "brilliant" and "exciting" when applied to journeymen cricketers who slog in T20 circus games.
The ECB.
The England selectors morbid myopia.

Everything.
Mostly everything anyway.
Gimme some decent pitches, not minefields, just decent pitches like Old Trafford and Trent Bridge. Give me two alright sides and let them battle it out. And put those boundary ropes out another ten yards where they belong. And get Thilan Samaraweera out there so we can resolve that bloated average of his.

Aye! I think as late as '93 Oz were playing 14 county games.
That and the lack of opportunity for test players to play domestically.

The fact that as weak as Oz have become in test cricket, no team has had the balls to take the No. 1 spot off us . . .

I know the gyppo (as his caravan was always parked on double yellow lines in St John's Wood Road covered with parking tickets) and I'm guessing the wozzie crab was Damien (The Omen Part II) Martyn ... but who were the ghost and
the HFRC (Hugely Fecked Retarded Qunt :?: ) ?

Ta ... aye, forgot about Kaspa ("did he / didn't he glove it") - honest workhorse.embee wrote:Kaspa (the friendly ghost) and Boof (The Hella Fat Racist Slug)
Was never a Boof fan, though I 'liked' Martyn (whose knock at Lord's 2005 was a gutsy one).

Do not soil the rep of the the fakwit(TGM) and the spoiled brat farkwit(tgm) by mentioning them in the same breath as drunk qunt, I had an auto(yeah right) biography at 22 mega-farkwit.
