Well played. Despite all the distractions this has to be one of the more keenly contested ODI series in recent times. As acknowledged by Ponting it was actually much closer that what the scoreboard shows now. Some positive changes are underway with Indian Cricket and once the administration gets a little more ruthless with its selections and planning India will provide for some very keen contests versus the Aussies in the future.

Rubbish. The Aussies sledged and abused their way to an ungracious victory.

Yes. Hearty congratulations. But wasn't completely unexpected, so that takes the sheen off a bit. Razz

I thought (apparently along with about 600 million Indians) that we were toast following India's success in the Worl McCricket onanist convention.

Congratulations Australia!!

India has been pretty poor in ODI cricket since about more than a year now. We were defeated badly in ICC CT and couldn't even sniff the semis, we were thrashed 4-0 in SA, then we exited in the very first round of WC and even lost the series to England which is not a great ODI team either!

So this series was supposed be a piece of cake for Australia and that is how they took it--like a piece of cake!!

Australian bowling effort has been good on flat tracks and their MO batting and fielding has been unbelievable!!

Well done Australia!!

It was a brilliant parody of zimmy making endless excuses after Australia lost against India in the T20, wasn't it?

Really?? So what were the excuses that I gave? That India is a way inferior team than Australia??

Oh, but why do I forget that you're tac. When I praised Lee for getting the ball to swing in 26th over, you thought I was accusing him of ball tampering!!! So if I praise Australia, obviously you'll take it some offence!!

If Lee gets the ball to swing at any time, it has to be ball tampering.

What does keenly contested have to do with the scoreline ?

You guys are lucky that the scoreline is not 6-0.

Bangalore could easily be a cake walk to the Aussies, and the 4th ODI - well it's hard to believe that they lost that one!

There was no contest - Period.

Unfortunately (for you and Aus) it didn't quite turn out that way, did it? If it did, it would've atleast given some credibility to the ODI game, which in everyone's minds is now still JAMODI.

I thought India ran us close. They only put in one poor effort.
And don't forget our batting was very in and out except for the two Messiahs plus Hopes.

Our bowlers won it for us.
