Aussie players get a pay rise
More on cricinfo. The player payment pool is projected to rise to A$96.2 million (US$76.9m) - an increase of 13.1% - over the next two years, representing a significant increase in the value of state and national contracts. Players will also be remunerated for CA-related sponsorship work and, for the first time, the top-six ranked players will receive "fixed contracts", in which match payments for the next 12 months are paid out in full at the beginning of CA's pay cycle.
The moves seem to be positive. The question of what will happen if an up-and-coming state player decides to give national selection the flick in favour of the IPL/EPL/SPL circus. It's bound to happen sooner or later.

Re: Aussie players get a pay rise
Well it seems that CA is paying the Aussie players more for matches for Australia so other parties can pay them more in t20 comps.
Who's being dudded in that set-up?

The interesting bit is the ability to earn extra contractual dollars for a certain period for state players. Six weeks apparently. How how long does the IPL last for?
