I want WI to win, but unfortunately, they can't play spin for sh!t, so I'm expecting Sri Lanka in the final!

Sarwan and Bravo will have to score a lot of the runs if we are to win this match. Bravo used his feet brilliantly against Mendis in the group match and Sarwan is one of the best players of spin around. Shiv would normally be effective but he is not in the best of touch.
I dread to think what will happen if Simmons, Fletcher, Pollard or Marshall are required to do most of the scoring against the spin twins.

Fletcher shouldn't be playing.
He's had two ducks in two games.

Who should we replace him with? Marshall? I rather take my chances on a few of Fletchers swipes coming off

WIndies could pull off a surprise here, at the Oval.
But it would be that - a surprise.

Course they can.
The shorter the form, the more chance of an upset.

WI will feel lucky this game is at the Oval. I think SL would have spun them to death at Trent Bridge...

I reckon WI will win this one.
SL's opening bowlers are average and there is a good chance that Gayle and Fletcher would hammer them. Sarwan, Bravo and Shiv will be ok against the 3 Ms

The Lankans have been almost losing all through the S8 stage. If Fidel plays, they're going down.

I can't see the Windies batsmen getting on top of Mendis and Murali, and their fielding will probably give away around 20 runs. Sri Lanka will be too classy for them, imo.

Quacky doesn't look like he could hammer a hammer - I'd be amazed if he isn't dropped for the X-Man.

Gayle, Sarwan, Bravo and Chanderpaul all play spin pretty well.
That's four out of the top six

Is it? They won the games by minute margins.

With enough to spare. A win is a win innit.
And they clubbed the Snoozers in any case.

Let me get my predictions in ..
As you all may know I had already predicted pakistan winning this edition of WC because of their being the most well-rested side, the only caveat being their poor & inexperienced batting. But it seems that batting first is to their advantage since it masks the deficiency much better.
Secondly here go my predictions. If WI beat SL and enter finals then Pak are favorites to win as predicted by me esp if they bat first in finals.
If SL beat WI and enter finals then they are favorites to win, whether they bat first of second.

Supposed to be Ganguly's debut in commentary today. Extra incentive to watch the match.
