Maybe. But don't expect too much cricket today.

AB giving Big Merv absolute curry about the team. Hughes saying the team hasn't been released. AB saying Hughes out, Watson in, Clark in the XII. Hughes acting like a buffoon.
Probably not acting, to be frank. The guy is a freaking moron, and a disgrace as a selector.

Can't take the credit for it, but it deserves incredibly wide usage.Rob I wrote:Zat wrote:TAYne POCson

When the wash-up of this disaster happens the first question should be: "Where was our batting cover?".
Hughes was always fragile but Watson FFS! Langer only worked because the guy was actually a batsman.

Still difficult to believe you've dropped someone after 3 innings. I thought we might cause him problems with the short ball this summer but equally expected him to at least slap us about a couple of times into the bargain.

Exactly! Thing is, Hughes hasn't done so badly that he looks like he'll never score a run. You did expect him to get in at some point and score big.

Yeah, this is England 15 years ago selection policy from the Aussies. A couple of games where you don't get runs and you're out. Doesn't help players to establish themselves as they're always fearing for their place.

They should have dropped Hughes down the order for a few innings just as they did with Clarke when he first started.

It's hardly like the Aussie batting has struggled either, bar one brain fade in excellent bowling conditions at Lords. It's their bowling that has been guff.

plenty of time for Watson to suffer an "untimely injury" during the rain break

Is this fecking Test happening at New Road Worcester ??
The bloody outfield's like a pond and it's not going away!
Is Edge near a river or is the water plane just all f**ked up?
Inspection at Noon.

They've got a high water table due to unusual high rainfall for July. It's got nowhere to go. And this after the groundstaff have literally been working through the night to mop up.

God, I'm gonna spew.
Fox are now playing a schmarltzy "look how far he's come" piece of sh!t "special" with heroic music about farkin Shane Watson.
My dear departed old man has turned in his grave. Not only did the NSP fark up so badly by only selecting 6 specialist batsmen, they have now jettisoned one of them for the biggest soft c0ck ever to pull on a Baggy Green, and appointed him to open the batting.
He's never made runs at FC level as an opener, and here he is opening in possibly the most important Test match since the last time we played at Edgbaston. Freddy will make mincemeat of him (and frankly, I will be cheering).
What.a.farkin.joke.

That's of course assuming we don't bowl first and the weak piece of crap doesn't breaks down and can't bat.
I can't remember ever feeling this disgusted with a selection panel in my time following the great game.

Whats the point of spending all that money on Harrier jumpjets if you dont use them to dry the cricket ground for an Ashes test ffs
