Definitely a toss to lose. Even if the ball gets a bit wet, it's only a two hour session, so the potential damage is limited, and it's always possible England will pick up a few wickets.

Brad Haddin out with a broken finger!

England gave permission for a replacement - Manou.

FC average just below 25 is nothing special, but down to come in above MJ on the scorecard so must be viewed as a bit better than the stats suggest.

It's just worth emphasising that England could have refused to allow Manou to replace Haddin - they would have been completely within their rights.

Of course, they were absolutely right to allow it, and full credit to them for so doing, but it's worth pointing out to those idiots who slated Strauss in the Aussie media for "ugly" cricket.

He's been double bluffed by the 'idiots' ...he had to allow Manour to replace Haddin so as to not look the cheating mean spirited poo poo head that he is ...and Manour is worse than a broken fingered Haddin anyway

We never do well in these short sessions. we get too hyped up and end up spraying it everywhere.

For the 7867th time this series- Stuart Broad is utter dump.

Absolute filth in the first hour from fred and Jimmy - waste of 15 overs.
Then Broad replaces Fred and feeds the openers some more crap .... FFS Rolling Eyes

Watto batting with authority and not willing to step aside.
His swats look ugly, but if he connects .... watch out!

120 - 0 by the close.

If Watson scores a hundred against us I will die of shame. All those nadirs of before will be nothing compared to this.

Anyway, this Test is lost. Flat pitch, England are rubbish. As you'd expect. Swing track bullies. Jimmy Anderson has been dog-shit in this series in all bar one innings. Stuart Broad has just been shit, full stop.

Don't know what you're watching if you think they look "hyped".

They're flatter than Kate Moss' ironing board.
