Yeah, to extents. I reckoned that England bowled right in his slot 1st innings, but 2nd up he looked at consumate ease, even with the match situ.

The less said about his filth bowling, the better. Maybe he'd be good for 4 in the IPL but...

If he cut out the impetuous T20 swish outside off stump he'd do okay.

He's done better in one gig than Phews did in three mate!
120 ish over 2 innings in this test ain't bad for a 'non-opener'.
I'd say Punter's punt worked here, and his 50 ish over 2 hours might just have saved Aus.

He's had more luck in his first innings than Hughes had in 2 tests.

He has also failed to go on with it twice.

Still, I'd keep him over Hussey atm.

Yep, Sadly (for England IMO) that's probably the case with Bell.
Selectors won't look elsewhere for the next 2 games ... so another bus ride and an OBE is on the cards for him come September with zip contribution from no-balls !
