This thread is the equivalent of giving a 6 year old a really awesome toy for Christmas and then smashing it to pieces in front of him.

Bell effectively quit Test cricket the first time he walked out to bat... actually, his debut innings was a quite promising 70-odd I seem to remember, so maybe it was the second time!

Hit twice, hopping around like a frightened number eleven - a little girl number eleven - before getting off the mark with a panicky edge over the slips.
What then followed was some nice-looking strokes, before giving it up in sight of a substantial score.
All the signs were there...

Bloody hell, you've got a good memory. Unless you're making it all up, of course.

No, thats exactly how it went. It's funny what you remember. Mind you - those were good times.
Not sure I can really remember much of Ashes 2006/7 after the 2nd test.

A couple of my team-mates remember virtually every game we've ever played it seems. They'll say "Do you remember when..." and I haven't got a clue. I can't remember matches I played in earlier this season, let alone watching a Test match from 5 years ago. I don't remember any of Bell's innings that day.

Are there no alternative endings on the DVD? Surely they filmed a version where England actually won in Adelaide and changed the whole course of the series...

Perhaps it's cruelty like this thread from Lever that chased all the women (and Chas) away.
Lever = definitely not Mr Huggable on this occasion.

Wasn't Chas a woman? He always had that tight black bodice on. Or girdle, whatever it was. Top.

There are worse players to have pulled on the 3 Lions cap.
I presume he'll continue to whiplash sneer in County Cricket.
