Re: Australian State Cricket - 09-10 season
Still 86 runs to get first innings points with only four wickets left.

North bowled 19 overs for 32 runs and a wicket...making it pretty embarrassing for the NSP when they drop him for the 1st Test.

Will be in Melbourne Friday...with any luck will be able to catch the last session.
BTW, impressive ton from Voges considering the match has produced two sub 300 innings.

Hmmn...disturbing news that WA does not require its lags to wear electronic (come hither boys) anklettes ...and even more disturbing is the apparent laxity of passport control at melbourne airport...am catching snapper in the am tomorrow and expect the Vix to have secured outright points by lunchtime...so won't bother going!!!
I expect zimmy to be set upon by vix fans in the Ponsford Stand or to be 'rescued' by members of a firm of burly mustachioed spiv security guards the G hires to deal with felon interlopers from other states

Wozzies effectively 7/190, not really confident of our chances at chasing down a target unless it's over 300.

Re: Australian State Cricket - 09-10 season
Tassie have taken 1st innings points & are 5/465. Marsh is 134 n.o. & Bailey made a good captains knock of 112.
I suspect NSW are slightly pee'd off having declared. They prolly would have expected Tassie to declare behind & invite the Dubbers to give them a target but they forgot that Tassie are desperate for points.
Game will be a draw. That wicket is'nt a road, its an autobahn.

poor Zim.
Meanwhile at the Allan Border field, WI are hanging on to avoid an innings defeat by Queensland.

wonder if Zimmy ended up going to the G last friday to see the inevitable ton from Ginga, a half century from Hussey and and the crushing Vix win?

Aye..Cowen becomes the second highest scorer (204 n.o.) in a single day for Tassie behind Ponting.
Re: Australian State Cricket - 09-10 season
No better performances in Tassie's pre-Shield era, eg Badcock?

Wozzies 3/309
Mitch Marsh 60 off 29
ton to Bog
70 to Wes
44 to Hank
The Dubbers should pass that in about the 43rd over
