It would undoubtedly be something whingey and unpleasant. A bit like her son.

Still, it's typical of the NSP. Possibly the most cement footed but best Limited Overs players in the country and he couldn't get a game - while Pup farts around hitting singles since his JAMODI/JAMITT career started.
unlike certain protected species north of the Murray....hodge does not strike me as being precious about his record...he in fact jokes about his test average - an average that a certain selfish redinkus maximus could not achieve...
S Waugh placed his own average ahead of the interests of his team .... the likes of hodge and Brazen jnr have always done the team things like risking their wicket in pursuit of quick runs...Gilly is another example at the test level

Hussey Jnr is turning into a bit of a twot. All that time spent with Hodge is having an effect

FMD, Moises opened the bowling for the Spivs. Have we sunk so low?

He's a good chance to grab 8 on debut tomorrow.

He has the third best figures on debut for a New South Welshman ever.
Can anyone guess the last New South Welshman to snare a Michelle on debut?

He ended up getting 8/92, just failing to have the best figures ever by a Blue on debut - Herbert Horden captured 8/91 over a century ago.skully wrote:Copeland? 7-fer on debut? Never even heard of him.

Copeland has already picked up 2 wickets in Queensland's second innings. This is Bob Massie type stuff. Has anyone seen any footage? Is he anything special? Or just an honest fast medium bowler who's putting it in the right areas and is benefiting from a lack of exposure?

Based on the fact that talent identification these days is so thorough, and that any young player who has the goods is quickly known Australia wide (ie Josh Hazlewood), you'd have to say that because we've never heard of Copeland, and the fact that he's already 23, suggests that he's never been considered an outstanding prospect.

According to the commentators it was the best ever debut performance.

I got that information off the Fox red button thingy. If you have Fox, press the red and go to the cricket section where it still says "the second best debut figures ever", but they've removed the original report with Horden's name.
Now, it wouldn't be a complete surprise if they got it wrong.
