If the WACA redevelopment goes ahead (and it's looking likely) the capacity will be raised to 25,000.
Will certainly see a new WACA before we see a new footy oval.

Customers Zim. They're called customers. Just think, you could be getting smashed from behind whilst looking out the window watching Aus get smashed by England.

Dunno but the pitch has been relaid with the clay they used back in the 90s...it showed bit more life last year (apart from the Test) so who knows...

84 000 or so there today.Zat wrote:Full to 100 000? Not often. AFL GF Day would be it.Henry wrote:How many times a year is the MCG full to capacity? I'm guessing twice? Ie the AFL grand final and boxing day. The rest of the time it's a bit of a waste, really.
More than 2/3 full (ie 66 667 or more) quite often. The 2009 AFL season alone saw around a dozen games with that many. And a bunch more over 60 000.

I meant that watching cricket from those apartments, being able to drink whatever you want in comfort and not having to queue up for it. And remember we've all just watched us get humiliated again. If there's gonna be a repeat you may as well do it in comfort.

unless the pitch and the crowds improve, those purchasing apartments may only have domestic cricket to watch

Yeah but if you're winnning who gives a shit.. Better than Lords or the Oval where you've got to tie your hands behind your back so you don't throw someone over the side.
