Re: Brownlow 2009
snigger at Richo winning the Tigers leaderboard despite only playing five or six games this season.

Bunton represented NSW Country but didn't play any FC cricket.
TBH I'm not sure of the answer but know that at least two Brownlow winners had decent FC careers. Could be more!

It's the count for the Australian Football League's annual Best and Fairest award.
The Umpires award 3 points, 2 points and 1 point to three players each game. They put their ballot into a little box that stays locked until the end of the season. They then open the box at a gala dinner and count the votes round by round until they have a winner.
For some reason Victorians find this riveting TV viewing.

Sweet - had a late lazy 50 each way on Lennie Hayes at 34s.
As to the question - Des Fothergill was one.

Re: Brownlow 2009
Correct JGK. Des Fothergill was quite good averaging just under forty with the bat at FC level.

It's a pile of rubbish really. The Leigh Matthews trophy for the AFLPA MVP is a better indicator of the most valuable player of the season. This is highlighted by the result this year as it was won by a far more deserving footballer - Gary Ablett Jr.

Aye. Bedford & Fothergill are the only two I know.
How about Brownlow winners who have brothers that played FC cricket?

Harvey is Merv's grandson but who is Glendinning connected to? Or is that a trivia question in itself?

To give him his due, he is doing well to still be whacking blonde things up the pants regardless of the price.

He's a doctor with a scrip pad - he should be able to salute 24/7.

Another question -
Which forummer won a Brownlow?
And don't forget there are still heaps of prizes to be won for answering the earlier question about brothers of Brownlow winners. There are at least two. Could be more for all I know!
